Through My Drinking Glass

Sometimes I just need to get out of the apartment to get work done. That may find me sitting in a parking lot somewhere working on my MacBook at 2am, or, as in this example, hanging out at an all-night restaurant.

The IHOP “ambience” was probably nicer than other places I've been in, but the patrons at night tend to be coarser and far more inebriated than daytime customers. Moments after taking this picture I was treated to Punch & Judy. They started off sweet enough, but suddenly he was mouthing off over and over again at the top of his emotionally sensitive lungs about how he didn't give a copulating pair of rodents about her past life. She laughed. Then pressed on. She wanted to discuss what she learned from her relationship with her ex-husband and he just wanted to eat. Truly it was a relationship destined for greatness. With luck she will never date him again.

I didn't get much done until they left their half eaten meals a short time later.

That's lovely. My husband and I get a kick out of people who either seem oblivious to the fact that they are in a public place, or just want the attention. I prefer the former, the show is less "affected".
You might enjoy our story from a shopping trip to Kowalski's. It was pure joy!

I admire your ability to GET OUT. I just lay in bed and stare at the ceiling as errant thoughts wander thru my mind.
Please check out my site and maybe leave a note. I intend to follow you......perhaps you could reciprocate

I was a sufferer for a long time due to a serious car accident which nearly took my life. In our support group we had four returned soldiers or should I say 'Retrenched Soldiers' as they were serious sufferers and one of them was very suicidal. I was lucky to have been introduced to this terrific workbook. It is called My PTSD Workbook and I purchased it from http://www.treatptsd.com and I have to say I was feeling ‘different’ from the first ten pages. Today I HAVE MY LIFE BACK thanks to that book - now I tell everyone about it when they come to the support group. Three of the four soldiers in our group are feeling fabulous within themselves and one of the wifes is so thankful she now is councelling newcomers to the centre. She tells everyone to buy the book.
You should contact the writer of the book GK Talbott and put it on your site.
I Love your site and the friendly feeling it has.
Regards,

Barb
